FEC Heliports was selected by Grady Memorial Hospital's contractor to supply and install a lightweight aluminum rooftop helideck on the hospital's new emergency wing. FEC Heliports in turn retained Heliplanners to assist it with ensuring that the project would meet recognized obstruction clearance criteria and to provide liaison with the Federal Aviation Administration and the Ohio Department of Transportation's Aeronautics Division. The emergency wing and helistop were completed in 1998 and are now operational.
